Itinerary
The tour begins with hotel pickup from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. We will then begin our journey northwest of Cusco, passing through typical towns with beautiful landscapes. The first stop will be the town of Maras, from where you can appreciate the peaks of the Vilcanota mountain range covered with perpetual snow-capped mountains such as El Chicón and La Verónica. We will then visit the Moray Archaeological Complex, a group of enormous terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic pit, which was used in Inca times for the study of agriculture. We will then visit the salt mines, which are made up of some 2,000 small pits with an average area of about 5 square meters. They have been exploited since the Inca and colonial times and are still being exploited by the locals. After our visit, we will return to Cusco. Arriving in Cusco City at approximately 2:00 p.m.
