    The hike to Humantay Lagoon is medium to moderate in difficulty. We begin by ascending a steep slope, followed by a trail that winds along a rocky hillside. Finally, we descend to a small ravine, where the calm, cold waters of the lagoon flow.
    The turquoise color of the water at Humantay Lagoon is the result of melting snow from the mountain, which fills the valley, creating the lake. Glacial erosion pulverizes minerals in the rocks, which, along with microalgae such as Microcystis aeruginosa and Oscillatoria, give rise to this stunning hue. Due to its fragility, entry to the lagoon is prohibited to preserve its beauty.

    DAY 1: PICK UP FROM HOTEL – SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY LAGOON.

    At 4:00 am, our team will pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we will head to the picturesque town of Mollepata, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast.
    Then, we will continue our journey to Soraypampa, located at 3,900 meters above sea level. At this point, you will have time to prepare the necessary equipment to begin the hike to Humantay Lagoon.
    We will begin the hike to Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,200 meters above sea level. The hike takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes at a normal pace, or 2 hours if you prefer a more leisurely pace. If you prefer, you can also rent a horse to make the journey easier.
    Once we arrive at Humantay Lagoon at 10:30 am, you'll have 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy the incredible beauty of the place, surrounded by mountains and turquoise waters. Your guide will tell you about the history and cultural significance of the lagoon and Apu Humantay, the protective Andean deity. During this time, you can walk around the lagoon, take photos, or simply relax and connect with nature.
    Afterwards, we'll begin the descent to Soraypampa, which will take less time than the ascent.
    Upon arrival at Soraypampa, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch with fresh and flavorful traditional dishes from the region.
    Finally, around 5:30 pm, we'll board the vehicle to return to Cusco, where this unforgettable experience will end.
